During a drive on the highway, an experienced individual named Aaron Schneider noticed a dog injured by the side of the road after being hit by a vehicle. Concerned for the animal’s well-being, Aaron made a risky decision to navigate through three lanes of fast-moving traffic to provide assistance.
Realizing the severity of the dog’s injuries, Aaron immediately called 911 for help. Despite being instructed to stay put and wait for Animal Control to arrive, hours passed by with no sign of help. Frustrated with the situation, Aaron decided to take matters into his own hands.
FOX4 News out of Kansas City reported on a man who quickly turned into a makeshift rescuer when he found a wounded dog on the road. Making use of items he had in his car, he crafted a stretcher to transport the injured pup. With the help of a friend, they rushed the dog – now named Buster – to the nearest animal hospital. Despite his severe injuries including broken ribs, internal bleeding, and a torn windpipe, the vet remained optimistic about Buster’s chances for recovery.
Chipman Road Animal Clinic has provided an update on Buster, the adorable pup who is now on the road to recovery. The staff at the clinic have confirmed that Buster will soon be ready to find his forever home. Aaron, the hero who saved Buster’s life, shared his thoughts on the rescue. Reflecting on his combat lifesaver training and his time in Iraq, Aaron expressed his gratitude for being able to help Buster. Despite no one else stepping forward to adopt Buster, Aaron decided to make it official and welcome the furry friend into his home. It seems like fate has brought these two together, and we are grateful for Aaron’s quick thinking and compassionate heart.
